Bye-Bye March.. T_T

Good Morning~ Ahhh.. I just have a very satisfied breakfast.. :-D

It's the end of March.. also the end of my 37th weeks period.. Which btw puts all the butterflies in the world in my stomach right now thinking how close it is to my delivery due date.. The belly's growing heavily by the day.. Getting tired so easily & sleepy are just an understatement.. I barely doing housework without gasping for breath even it means just doing the dishes.. Even walking to the toilet seems laborious to me.. >o< ..never thought pregnancy was this challenging.. huhuhu.. (well, hugs to all MOMS out there)

I just finished playing one of the Mystery Case Files series "13th Skull".. For me it's the best so far after Return To Ravenhearst.. The puzzles are relatively solvable compared to the previous installment : Dire Grove which for me lack of characters and interesting puzzles.. I gotta give the writer of this 6th Installment of Mystery Case Files a round of applause for its unexpected ending.. Truthfully I never have expected it.. ;-) If I have a choice, I would've bought the original CDs for this game (for its special features and stuff) but again, I'm an avid download junkies and buying CDs would actually not for me (unless it's worth it) This game is definitely a keeper for those "Hidden Objects" game junkies.. 

As for the latest series of the Mystery Case Files : Escape From Ravenhearst , oh, don't get me started on that subject.. A total disappointment! I know that the developer would like to make a difference (surprise elements I guess) in this new and perhaps the final chapter of the Ravenhearst series by completely changing the way the players find the hidden objects and not to mention the upgraded graphic , which btw is sooooooo UNNECESSARY.. I mean who the heck would need stunning graphic for a Hidden Object game??? It's completely OVERRATED! So , yeah.. I ended up uninstalling the game after 30mins of frustration over slowed-performance-over-giant-graphic-detailed problem.. Thumbs down for Escape From Ravenhearst.. >_< You , sir really turns the smile upside down.. 

** now looking forward for the latest Nancy Drew - Tomb of the Lost Queen..  The pre-order will started this 3rd of April!! Nggggggggggg~! Hope I manage to get my hands on this next month... **

 Oh Nancy.. what have you done..?

*gasp* whattt?? Nancy being arrested??? Yup.. In its 25th installment, Herinteractive has brought an exciting perspective in Nancy Drew game where the game revolves in finding the culprit with the help of her trusted friends , in her hometown .. while being captive.. :-D Sounds quite handful rite..? 

Before downloading this , I read a few reviews about the game and a lot of them are pretty grumpy with the fact that the game doesn't provide an efficient length and most of them solved it in under 3-4 hours average.. (Woooooo.. lucky them!) I try my best not to get affected and stay clear-headed (without bias) and play it on my own terms.. 

And what do you know.. I actually LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE it! Although I can't see the real Ned (uh, I bet he's helplessly gorgeous..) but I thoroughly enjoy being him in the game.. As well as both Bess and George.. but George wasn't really "functioning" efficiently in the game because for me she doesn't have necessary "charm" that both Bess and Ned have to "dig" the dirt of the River Heights community.. :-P But I like her though for being there for Nancy.. 

Okay, I lay down the things I like for Nancy Drew - Alibi In Ashes : 

• The storyline and plot were actually very good.. You couldn't keep guessing who's the real culprit until you're in 3/4 of the game.. (at least I am..) 
• Puzzles are relatively varied from solvable to quite hard.. :-D 
• You've got to see Nancy's bedroom! I love it! She did keep it pretty neat! (oh, a spoiler.. you have to read Ned's letter to Nancy.. So SWEET!) 
• There are various characters with different personalities and definitely different motives in the game..
• This is the first time in the game that you have to actually switch protagonist in order to gain information from the suspects..

There are not so much that I didn't like about the game.. The fact that I can't explore River Heights more (can't go to the park or hit the mall.. ) is a bummer.. I think Herinteractive should at least include may be one extra features where player can relax in the mall or at the park to chill.. Also, they should have made George more interact-able.. Huhuhuhu.. I know she's a hard gal and all but she gotta has her own charm right? 

So.. that's my review for the latest Nancy Drew.. I give it 8 and a half stars out of 10.. ;-) Worth downloading it.. And now awaiting for the next installment coming this April : Tomb of the Lost Queen.. I love it when we going abroad again and now it's going to be in Egypt! Mummies , encrypted messages in holographic , curses.. Very intriguing! CAN'T WAITTTTT!!!!

Looks like we're going to experience some "The Mummies" scene! :-D

Black Mirror III - Final Chapter finished! Yayyyy~

Finally I have finished the final installment of the Black Mirror series.. Although the end game was rather fair as oppose to great , I enjoyed it.. (I was expecting a sword fight with the evil Mordred , but what I got was only cut scene..) 

	Black Mirror I	Black Mirror II	Black Mirror III
Protagonist	- Samuel Gordon , who just lost his beloved uncle, William Gordon that was allegedly committed suicide (but Samuel was convince otherwise). He also has lost his wife in a fire also in Black Mirror Castle which made him hate it.	- Darren Michael from Biddeford, Maine. A physics student in his semester break who apparently hate his part time job due to his pain in the butt boss. He later found out that he’s a Gordon. Samuel’s son to be précised..	- Adrian Gordon , the last of the Gordon who inherited the Black Mirror Castle and a huge responsibility in getting rid of Mordred evil spirit in his body. He’s on the quest to destroy what remained of the curse and also Mordred.
Puzzles	Was fairly easy and enjoyable..	Quite hard and need some times to figure them out.. Some of them may need you to look for spoilers.	Somewhat in the middle.. However if you stuck at the puzzle, the game provide you with “skip” option where the game will solve it for you without having to stuck in the game trying to solve the puzzle.
Characters	Very flat dialog expression.	Surreal and impressively improving.. I love the sarcastic Darren.. and people with secrets.	Quite a hit and miss.. It’s a shame that some characters are not really well developed.. (I want to know more about Inspector & the café girl’s affair)
Graphic & Sound	All great and detailed.
Timed Puzzle & Death Scene	If I’m not mistaken there’s only 1 timed puzzle but plenty of unexpected death scene, where you go poking around places you shouldn’t do..	Lots of timed puzzles and chasing scene where you have to outsmart the bad people..	Fairly amount of both timed puzzles and chasing scene.
Ending	Somewhat frustrating ‘coz the protagonist decided to kill himself because of the curse..	Good ‘coz the element of keeping the player hanging for answer..	Somewhat expected but I wish there’s another ending like what will happen to the last Gordon after all this is over..
Ranking	3 1/2 out of 5	4 1/2 out of 5	4 out of 5

I'm looking forward for the next game from the Black Mirror developer..

Miss my gaming moment.. huuhuuu..

It's the busiest , most challenging month/week ever.. I gotta admit that being in a good environment can also induce much pressure - a pressure to prove yourself good to your employer that is.. and also some other stuff going on my personal life .. but that's okay.. everything on the mend now.. :-)

Okay , enough of the side commercial.. :-D I feel that it's been a while since I spend myself doing something I really love - which is GAMING.. The last game I've ever played was Black Mirror 2 and I hafta said that it's brilliant.. Although the ending was kinda rushed a little bit , but overall the story plot , the character build-up and also the dialogue are far more improved than the previous one.. I miss this kind of game.. I wish I have enough time to surf the net and search for more new games..

Hmmm.. last time I went to the CD store in mall , (err.. please bear in mind that the CD store at my place is a pirate heaven :-D ) I saw this new CSI game called "Fatal Conspiracy"..
I'd say that I'm a huge fan of CSI, particulary CSI Las Vegas.. I never missed the game series.. but truth be told... the story plots of the game are kinda predictable.. And there are too much dialogue and interrogation which easily lead me to boredom.. I hope that there are function that can skip dialogue like in Black Mirror.. There are too much explanation and to be honest , the dialogue was FLAT! Not much expression.. just rather more scripted.. The feature was awesome though..

I would definitely try it once I get the time to search for the megaupload copies..

One other game that I yet to play and breaks my heart to even think of it is Red Alert 3.. I hate the fact that I can't play this game due to my lack of enough graphic memory and RAM to run it through.. *sob..sob..* it's actually THE game that's in my MUST list... Sad to say that I only be able to run it through the lowest resolution and I can't view the intro videos before the game starts.. *dammit!* Which is kinda important to know what mission I was into and help me get into the storyline.. I want to see that SEXY SOVIET LIEUTENANT! boohooooo.. huuhuu.. :-D Love the new units.. ;-) I can't remember much coz my lappy doesn't support the game requirement , so when I played it up to 3 level , it died on me.. the system reboot.. which is a bummer.. will definitely play this once I get my hand on an upgraded lappy..

** But I heard that this Red Alert 3 isn't like the 2nd installment.. Not much depth in strategic factor especially if you play mission.. Hmm.. whatever it is.. I hafta play it to judge it myself..

I love the soviet right hand woman , but on the Allies side , I prefer the old Tanya than this new version.. Oh ya.. I also loooooveee the music intro of the Red Alert 3.. so cool!!

The cursed Castle Black Mirror..

*sigh* still exhausted from yesterday swimming activity with Moushie n friends.. (erkk.. sound kinda like Barnie n Friends eh?) Am still trying to vary my swimming skills and I know it's hard.. Upon 4x of our swimming time , I manage to learn 2 skills .. yet to master 'em especially the diving one.. Kinda hard to do without the proper swimming gear i.e goggle.. and I sorta have a breathing problem.. Seems to me that I can't hold more than 2 minutes.. I don't smoke .. Probably got something to do with my stamina.. Haven't been working out for quite some times now...

So.. what's today's plan..? Actually I just finished my Black Mirror sequel - Black Mirror 2 game.. I hope I can give it a 10 stars but I sorta frustrated at the end of the game.. Looks like the developer is in rush to make the final installment of the game 'coz the ending is BAD! Therefore , I'm going to bestow an 8 stars for it.. (actually it deserves a 10 but since it has a bad ending so , I'm gonna stick with 8) *clap..clap* yayyyy!! Despite its bad ending, it excels on the story development , graphic (as I expected.. the original 1st version also present an excellent 2D graphic) , characters and most of all the dialogue.. I gotta say that Black Mirror 2 has improved a lot on the dialogue 'coz from the original Black Mirror the dialogue is just pain in the neck.. Samuel Gordon sounded lame and flat although he gone through a though scene.. Like when he was supposed to be agitated , he just sounded like "Owh..? There's killing in my castle and the police roaming through my castle and suspecting my family.. Yayyyyy!!" ........ Not..

Although the beginning of the Black Mirror 2 is a bit slow , the game started slowly developed into the story of the cursed Gordon and how the protagonist later found out that he is actually the last surviving descendant of Gordon's family... If I hadn't been using lots of spoiler , I'd be surprised too of the outcome.. There are quite a bit of timed puzzle which you'd died in case you fail and if you haven't been saving your game before the puzzle , you gotta start over! Well.. It's typical of Black Mirror game I might say , although on the previous version there was only 1 timed puzzle.. AND there are also some DEATH scene where if you being nosy and keep poking around when the protagonist said you shouldn't , you are going to be surprised by a death scene! Thank God for the spoiler though and I'm able to save myself... (yeah.... I know.. cheater..)

I have watch the final installment of the game (Black Mirror 3) and I hafta say that it's pretty exciting.. Although I saw there's a "run from the dog@wolf scene"? urghhhh! Like seriously?? Man... it's bad enough that Darren's been chased by the Order and almost killed himself (I did in the game.... ) and now he's gonna chased by wolf@dog @ whatever it is... Okay , I'm gonna be honest... I hate that chase scene in the game... makes me restless despite that I have spoiler... :-(

But , apart from that, I can't wait for Black Mirror 3.. I have a higher expectation for this final chapter and I DEMAND ANSWER! I mean what's this Gordon's Curse thing and what it's got to do with the male Gordon? Is it really bcoz of the hatred of the evil Mordred Gordon against his brother Marcus Gordon? What's this bad things will happen in Willow Creek every 12 years? Is it happening bcoz of the curse that plaguing the Gordon's family? Ah , so many things left unanswered on the previous games.. I hope The Cranberry production will never fail me..

Hail to Herinteractive!! 23rd Installment Review

First and foremost , allow me to congratulate all the Herinteractive team involves in the making of the Nancy Drew's 23rd installment : Shadows at the Water's Edge.. FINALLY! Nancy Drew game has returned to it's exciting form.. I have long to play one since Curse of Blackmoor Manor.. Not that the other after that are bad (some are decent enough , I personally love Ransom of the seven ships and Legend of Crystal Skull) , but for some reason the games after Curse of Blackmoor Manor lack a certain umph .. Be it the lack of suspense , thriller factor , lengthy game plot , characters ,etc.. But no matter , Shadows at the Water's Edge should bring the glory back.. So , Yayyy to the ever so awesome Herinteractive team!!


Okay.. enuff of me babbling .. My first reaction to the game when I saw the trailer I was in immediate awe and couldn't content my excitement to play this game and when I finally be able to finish one , man , I feel like my life is complete.. Okay , that's a bit over the top connotation but seriously I am blown away by it .. So , here are some of the good and bad of the game :


PRO :

1) Suspense / Thriller Factor

Oooo yeah.. It is happening .. You are going to encounter one of these gruesome entity when you LEAST expected it.. When it did , I was like stopped breathing for a few second in horrified .. What was that???? And the soundtracks are also proved to add some spookiness quality in the game .. You will also occasionally being haunted by some eerie sounds around the ryokan ..

2) Lengthy Game
Unlike the previous games (after Curse of Blackmoor Manor) , I believe this one is quite lengthy and there are lots of thing to do .. The story flows brilliantly .. Though you might get stuck (not knowing what to do next , you can always go back and forth of the ryokan or convention centre and somewhere along there , you will advance ..

3) Puzzles / Mini Game
There are enuff puzzles and mini games to keep you occupied (if you want a star at the end of the game) .. I must say that I was okay with the puzzles though some of them have make me tapping my brains out to get it through .. But that's okay.. I love the challenge .. (LIAR! :-D )


CONS :

1) Puzzles
It griefs me to say this .. Alas , I found some of the puzzles are quite hard .. I have to google for some spoiler to get it finished ..

2) Where's the ghost hunter????
I thought I would meet the ghost hunter in this one considering the status of the surrounding.. I haven't meet one (except for the one who retires and we talk only on the phone) which btw is ridiculous..

3) Not enuff apparition
Sure , the atmosphere is spooky and you might encounter one or two shadowy figures but I WANT AN APPARITION!!! Like one in the trailer.. ?? There are not enuff apparition to keep me scare..


So , there's basically my review of pros and cons of the game .. Am I loving it? O-YES! Hate it? No.. except for the frame puzzle though.. I am so wish that Nancy would just tear the frame in spite of frustration.. hahahhaha! So , if you guys want to get scared , feel free to download the game here

Yayyy.. After waiting for quite some time for the latest Nancy Drew : Trail of the Twister.. aher nya aku dpt download n aher nya aku dh abis main mlm tok.. yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.. Bravo to team TEY! hehehehe..


Firstly , version yg aku download tok probably Pre-Order mpun version.. so.. nya mpun screen x ekot screen asal most Nancy Drew series.. lagipun aku baca dlm sigek website , mun Stars kat Badge nancy drew (masa milih Junior or Senior Level - Junior tok senang.. Senior ssh sikit) ya ada 12 stars , makna nya Pre-order version.. Mun nya full mpun ada 13 stars..Apa-apa pun x kesah la nya mpun screen kecik ka , janji pat main.. btol x? btol x?

Hmmm.. So far , apa yg aku dpt conclude kan dari game Nancy Drew Trail of the Twister tok :

1. Too technical : byk glak puzzle yg melibatkan membaikpulih machines.. gadgets .. , n some technical n scientific terms used in meteorology.. (urgh.. I hate too many scientific terms in a game..)
2. Lots of puzzles , lots of chores.. Plenty of time to go around , without being stuck doing nothing.. So.. sapa2 yang suka puzzle ya.. this is your game..
3. Annoying-Mouse-Dragging Movement.. arghhhhhhhh~! kenak la cdak Herinteractive bother to include such movement.. at least dlm Ransom of 7 Ships ya agik dpt makey arrow keys kat keyboard.. tok nang butak2 makey mouse.. kak ya da gik "accident" indicator tab kat atas.. haiyaaaaaaaaaaaa.. So , mun kata ko trlanggar mana2 keta ka by accident (well , mun dh eager glak drag mouse ya nak , mmg la akan brlanggar ngan keta2 lain) accident indicator kat atas ya akan brkurang , n mun dh kira dh abis dh kira ko knak mula baru .. Kira fatal la tek..
4. Character cukup2 makan.. huhuhuhu.. x byk glak character pakey interact.. Then aku cuma dpt kakar ngan Joe n Frank Hardy jak lam tepon mun mok mntak hints.. Not that I hate Frank n Joe Hardy tapi nok suara baru tok.. x best bah.. aku suka suara Joe n Frank Hardy nok lamak.. Plus... I kinda prefer Bes and George or Ned as opposed to Frank n Joe Hardy..
   

Apa-apa pun.. kira puas ati juak la main game tok walaupun at first aku agak annoyed juak la coz nama jak Trail of the Twister.. tp x da pun include chasing twister mpun scene.. N banyak puzzle nok x da provide clues which memaksa aku mencarik walkthrough.. uhuk..uhuk..

Adventure Lover Dilemma....

*sigh..* I got frustrated every time I talk about this.. I really long for adventure games.. Yea..
I know u gamers out there who aren't into this "sissy" kinda thing (n I ain't much of that macho-whacka zombie kinda game either) probably didn't care.. But seriously game developers nowadays are in a brink of ideas crisis.. Semua game dak nya sama jak storyline bah.. tinkering with machines.. run away from ghost that is not that scary.. blablabla..

The one and only adventure games nok dpt polah aku entertained for the time being will be Nancy Drew Series.. ya jak la nok constant merik adventure + mystery yg aku harap.. So far la.. game adventure n mystery nok aku prnah main n akan main berulang2 kali (best la maksud nya ya) are these :

a) Black Mirror

1st adventure game selain Nancy Drew series yg aku main.. serious best walaupun puzzle nya kinda went under ur skin skit.. byk glak mok di click.. huhuhuhu.. tedious la juak.. tp overall.. game nya nang best.. x rugi mun try.. Tp awal2 prepare walktrough just in case.. game tok mudah nyuruh stuck.. huhuhuhuu..

b) Keepsake
After some more crappy adventure game yg aku main.. tok pun kira listed dlm game yg aku suka.. Sama juak mcm Black Mirror.. byk main click2 then nya mpun length of time utk travel between scenes ya sgt lamak.. kadang geram juak ati bila ko mok pegi dr sigek puzzle to the next ya ko knak lalu dlm 6 kali screen.. Despite its cons , ada juak no best.. contoh nya graphic.. walopun nya x run under high end mpun graphic card still nya dpt produce surprisingly stunning graphic.. aok.. x ku bulak.. tp ada la sikit2 flaws rah pixel nya ada pecah dikit2.. well.. wat do u expect.. game zaman lamak bah.. Aok.. one more time.. this game stands above all adventure games out there.. Nya ada hint system kedirik.. x payah ko ssh2 mok download walktrough agik dh.. huhuhuhu.. x da la frust sampey ngentak palak rah dinding mikir apa next move..


c) NiBiru
Game tok from the same developer of Black Mirror.. Tetap superb dr segi storyline , graphic n sound nya.. Cuma puzzle nya mudah sikit dr previous game.. May be dak developer dh knak komplen tegal game 1st dolok ssh nak mati *sila baca phrase ini dgn slang org Kabong* ya la dak nya low kan dikit level difficulty rah puzzle game ya..

............... dan ada beberapa gik .. actually kinek aku tgh donlod baru gik game Keepsake ya tek.. CD lamak aku sound nya mala jak crash (it's the ugly crash btw.. blue screen of death instant reboot kinda crash) so.. trpaksa la merajinkan dirik donload balit.. wowoowowoo..

Wish me luck ... supaya aku pat main mlm tok..

Tapi.............. thanks to ever so "fast" streamyx line , tetiba game nok didownload aku ya x berjalan2.. arghhhhhhh.. dh la tinggal 89% dh.. ney x panas ati.. wuhuhuhuuu.. mun tauk ya, bgs hari esok jak donlod.. kinek tok tgh tunggu.. Nasib bait la line okay sikit.. so speed nya pun okay..
