Honey To The Moon

Now that I'm confirmed to get married this June , I thought my time with typical-question-misery would be over.. But , gosh how wrong I would be since recently , again , I was bombarded by another typical-question :

"where you wanna go for your honeymoon?"

Actually folks , I don't have a definite answer for the above question.. For real.. Why? Because I have spend my whole resources for my BIG DAY and I don't think I have left with a few pennies enough to take me anywhere other than my beloved Bintulu for the moment.. :-D Sad , but true..

However.. due to the constrain resources issue that I faced nowadays, I decided to try this alternative of gathered resources instead :

 Yeah.. I admit this looks hardly realistic , but "sikit-skit, lama-lama jadi honeymoon to KK", a'ite? You gotta be optimistic about that one.. :-D

But , for the sake of this entry , lemme share few of my dream honeymoon destinations with all you stalkers out there.. hehehehe (just kidding)

1) New Zealand

Lord of the Rings location - for obvious reason.. I'm totally awed by the stunning scenery there in New Zealand when my eyes laid on the scenes of LOTR.. Well , I know most of the scene in LOTR is digital painting , but when I saw the making series , it was no joke that New Zealand is indeed captivating..

How can you say NO to this scenery??

I'm soooo wish I could be here..

2) Japan (During spring)

May be not now , since the devastating tsunami event that hit Japan , and also with the nuclear leaks that indeed alarming , but I always fascinated by this country..
a) Because of the cultured Japanese people.. How amazing it is for a mega developed country to still uphold their traditions..
b) The stunning view of sakura during Spring... I always wonder how is it like to experience "hanami" which is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the beauty of sakura blooms throughout the Spring..

3) Sydney , Australia
a) Because I wanted to do something that I always dream of doing : BUNGEE JUMPING AT SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE! :-D
b) My boss , Dave told me the food there is the BEST! So, naturally I'm curious.. :-D
c) I want to meet Curtis Stone!
But again , I don't think Moushie would agree with this.. :-D

                                                          Sexeh!!!

4) Mauritius

I always love beach.. I love the emerald clear sea.. the sand gold.. and the sea breeze.. Fuh! I just can imagine myself there already.. However , I heard it cost a fortune for one to be at this French region island.. But, no harm in dream big , a'ite? The best alternative option for that I think would be KK then.. All the islands situated there.. Pulau Manukan.. Pulau Mamutik.. and the infamous Pulau Sipadan are as gorgeous as the Caribbeans.. That's why I invented that "small saving".. Huhuhuuuu..

Okay.. There you have it folks.. The answer to my typical-question no.2 .. (no.1 would be that "When would you getting married) I'm feeling optimistic about all this and I believe that this is certainly achievable.. One could hope , and one could also make it happen.. in time.. :-)

Wedding Preparation Updates

Alhamdulillah.. I just send the 2nd payment receipt for my wedding invitation to Kadlestari.. It's a huge relief for me since it's almost mid April and people been bombarding me with the "hey, when's your wedding mate? Where's the invitation?".. Okay.. relax people.. the invitation's coming by end of April , latest by the 18th..

My wedding package receipt (wedding dress,pelamin and make-up) , the furniture receipt, wedding invitation payment receipt and photographer's package and payment..

Aside that, I STILL yet to have a decent house-keeping in my room.. It's like a ship wreck in there with lots and lots of clutter that awaiting to be packed in boxes.. Man.. I am the worst definition of word "delay".. I mean, all the furnitures (bed, closet and dressing table) are supposed to be in by end of March , alas due to my constant delay and distraction , the furnitures have to wait for another week.. Well , it's a good thing that I don't have anymore internet connection at my home (by choice) , otherwise anymore delay would be inevitable.. Huhuhuuu..

So far.. I have only manage to settle as far as these.. Need a lot more resources for my bedroom deco : lamp , carpets and not forgetting the canopies.. damn! that canopies are so expensive.. :-(

Man.. I have no other resources for that in red.. huwaaaaa..

Our Borang Keizinan Kahwin..It's complete and ready to be submitted to Jabatan Agama Islam.. But somehow the admin there told us to get the hang of the document and only submit on May 'coz they afraid the documents might be lost... Hmmmm.. :-/

Another thing that already done but still pending on the submission is our "Keizinan Kahwin" forms.. Took several days to complete my form.. They even need my parents' wedding certificate as well.. And lemme tell you the document is so accient it qualifies to be displayed in the museum.. Don't believe me? Check this out!

My parents' Marriage certificate and it's in Jawi.. Pretty cool huh? (Look at the letterhead.. British crest.. awesome..)

Okay.. that's the end of my entry.. I got so distracted now that I have finished my blogging , I have abandon Ryan's work.. Muhuhuhuuu.. The dateline is today.. My GOD.. I AM that worst definition of the word "DELAY"..  Okay guys.. GTG..

TIME , MONEY and SANITY - Things that I need more of..

 If only this would help.. ≧o≦

I am so tensed right now.. Arghhhhhh!!! It is true people said that the closer the wedding, the more closer you get out of your sanity.. Huwaaaaaaaaa.. I mean, everything not going well as planned..! I am both anxious and uptight (er... wait, aren't they the same thing? okay, whatever) about this whole wedding preparation.. :-( Not to mention I have to do this all by myself?? (with Moushie's help of coz)

So far, I have progressed slowly up to 50%.. Just banked in the 40% deposit to photographer.. which btw is an AMAZING man name Zulhafizan.. Gotta check him out here  http://www.dzulfotografi.blogspot.com/ He's awesome! It's quite a disappointment that I couldn't commit myself to a better package (Gold Package) as my economic status is a bit on fire.. (more to the downside)

Then , this morning I just met Kak Azah asking his thought on Baju Nikah's design and what kind of materials that would be likely to be used on the design.. Also, I have some insight from Kak Azah about the differentiate of various type of chiffon.. and how not to choose the wrong one.. I was surprised to know that there is a type of chiffon which is so fine, even if you bought at about 4-5 meters, you just can crumple them and it fits in your hand.. It is quite cool but according to Kak Azah, the material is so fine , it's easily get stretched and might ruin your garment when sawn together..

But..... so much for the design , I still have a dilemma regarding this Baju Nikah thingy.. My Mom is originally want to sponsor the materials for my Baju Nikah , but my mom departure to KL is shall I say a bit late.. 14th of April and my wedding was like a month from that.. My concern is would the tailor be mentally as well as physically prepared to complete my garment ala Amazing Race (or perhaps ala Project Runways).. I'm afraid that my wedding garment would ended up blah and I have no Plan B for it.. If I am to go buy the material myself, I have to hesitantly cut my tightly budget... which btw happens to be getting thinner and thinner now.... ≧3≦ So.. what's it gonna be..??? Guys.. Please.. Please.. PLEASEEEE! I need your thoughts on this!

And now.... I haven't started on the housekeeping yet.. Huwaaaaaaaa.. the bedroom set will be arrived by end of this month and my things are still in tack and not MOVING!! (by me, of coz.. things that moved by themselves? I would definitely be grateful about it, although it's freaky)

Yes.. These things have brought a tremendous clouds to my sunny days.. I felt overwhelmed with discouragement , anxiety and not to mention depression... What's more, I'm now began to eat late at night , again... I know.. It's going to cost me HUGE on the tummy side but.... nothing I can do now... :-( I'm suppressed to this whole things! AAAAAAAA!!!! ≧o≦

p/s : did you guys have a hard time preparing for your Big Day as well? do share with me k?... It would definitely make me feel better knowing that I'm not alone.. (╯3╰)

Wedding Guest Books

It's nearly March but my wedding preparation progress just barely reach 30%.. *sigh* I have to yet choose my baju akad nikah , finalizing my wedding invitation, my bedroom, my wedding garment fitting.. huwaaaaaaa.. so much to do, so little time to realizing them all..

While laying down on my bed, thinking of Moushie and imagining our wonderful upcoming wedding day, suddenly I got this idea.. As I recall no one ever done this in my hometown so I'm super excited! I'm going to include a Wedding Guestbook during my wedding reception! Yayyyy!

I googled and find tons of ideas of perfect DIY wedding guestbook..

Mailbox Guestbook
 One idea was to provide the guests with lotsa postcards and a mailbox.. The guests than write on the back of the postcards and put it into the mailbox.. It's pretty awesome! But lotsa postcards would be expensive.. hmmm..

Bowl of Wishes
It's like leaving a business card in the restaurant glass bowl.. You write a short messages in a given card or piece of paper and then throw (is it throw..? okay.. bad connotation.. :-P ) it into the glass bowl..
Black and White Guestbook

Actually I'm more incline to use this idea.. It's so original.. :-) Plus I'm good at this DIY thingy.. ehehee.. What I'll do, I will go and find lotsa blank papers (preferably in black) and bind them together.. Then, I'll add up some of me and Moushie's best photo in it.. (also, preferably in black and white)
Can't wait to do this!! Yayy!! (^_^)v

I love this idea for baju nikah.. very exclusive and pretty!

Trip To Miri on CNY Holiday

Okay.. This entry is long in due, so beg your pardon for being a busy bee :-D (I know.. I make a same 'ol lame excuse again.. sorry guys..)

Last week I was in Miri for couple of days with Mousie to buy "hantaran" for both of our side.. As usual , I'm very excited and really looking forward to this trip.. (Honestly, I always get excited when I'm going somewhere..)

Day 1

Woke up as early as 6.00 in the morning.. *yawn* If hadn't been because of this trip, I'd say I wouldn't be up this early.. hahahaa. I wouldn't worry so much of the packing, 'coz I already get my things packed before hand (wayyyy before hand.. and yes, I did it 2 weeks before this trip..) So, I get myself ready , and have a small breakfast with family , just to fill me in.. Actually both my parents , and also my young sis were away on the same day to KK and Serikei to attend weddings of our family relatives.. I feel guilty 'coz I might be away from attending my first cousin's wedding... :-( So sorry Fatma..

After filled in the gas , and voraciously bought lots of things to munch, we begin our trip to Miri.. The weather was not on our side that day as it rains.. Moushie grumbles a bit 'coz he just washed his car.. hehehehe.. poor my Moushie.. The road was okay this time , as it was not as bumpy as we both anticipated. But what worried us much is the pothole.. Yeah, a definite nightmare for 17" and above nicely rimmed car.. *heh! I gathered there were quite a few of potholes along the road but, a skilled driver as Moushie is.. :-D he managed to duck 'em all.. (is it duck? okay, whatever) The journey to Miri was okay , and we arrived quite late (we departed at 8 and arrived at 10.30) probably because of the weather and the slippery road, we hafta stay 100 and below..

As usual, our first stop was at Damai Cafe. Lame as it sound , it's the only cafe we know in Miri.. :-D We waited for Ed to come over as we planned to have dinner together that night.. *SEAFOOD!!!* Meanwhile, waiting for Ed to get back from work, me and Moushie decided to hit Parkson for our hantaran hunting.. But... before we actually do that, we need "fuel" and by that I mean "LUNCH" :-D

Since we were sicked to death with the only cafe we know , we decided to search for a new place... Not a wise move either 'coz both of us are clueless when it comes to Miri hotspots.. The only Muslim restaurant that we encounter is near Boulevard.. (I forget the name.. something like "Curry House..")

After filling up our tank, we're ready for our mission! hehehee.. We're off to Bintang Plaza and straight up to Parkson.. I'd say it's kinda odd to see the parking lots were half full coz usually during this time the mall was jammed pack with people and it's a nightmare to even get a car park there!

The first thing we do as we arrived at Parkson was looking for perfumes.. Needless to say I was a bit appalled to see that there's not much options considering it's quite a huge mall... I was looking for Britney Spears' collection but in vain coz I couldn't found one.. Same goes with Moushie.. He fancied Ralph Lauren Romance Silver - the one that I got for him on his 26th Birthday.. :-) Alas, we couldn't found it in set.. However the girl on the counter said that we could come tomorrow to check it out 'coz she's only a temp for that counter that day..

Then we both proceed to handbag sections... And Oh-My-GOD indeed , I was quickly in "RAMBANG MATA" mode.. Guess.. Sembonia.. Carlo Rino.. Bonia.. (errkk.. wait.. that ain't my taste.. looks too exclusive for the likes of me.. mcm datin-datin.. hahahahha) Although it's not much but it's enough to make me drooling.. :-D We stopped at Carlo Rino section and browse through.. The bags mostly are in-season..

Okay.. this is actually the second choice.. Thank goodness the security wasn't here or else we would be in trouble for taking this picture.. :-D ngehehehe.. Luckily the Sales Lady is kind enough to allow us to take this picture.. How was it? Pretty awesome rite? ;-)

**spoiler alert!!!** hehehehe..
Lurveeeeeee this one..
It's the only one that left and available
and both of us approve it so...
No waiting - JUST GRAB IT!! AWESOMENESS!!

STILL, in rambang mata mode, we switch to Moushie's hantaran - Wallet and Belt set.. Not quite much option to choose from.. I was particularly like one Bonia set but as Moushie put it makes him looked old using that brand.. Hmmm.. couldn't argue with him on that.. :-D After an hour hunting for the one he's fancied, he then decided to go wit Allan Delon's.. We felt that both of us had it enough in the Parkson alone and quickly paid for both the items and out.. AND MY FEET ARE KILLING ME! Thank GOD that I wear sandals rather than heels , otherwise I might scorch my feet for this mission.. (okay.. scorch is kinda overstatement... :-D )

MOUSHIEEEEEEEEEEE.. I need a breakkkk!! I know that when I'm hungry, I tend to be a bit crabby, so Moushie "shut" me up with this little treat.. Awwwwww.. so glad that he knows me best.. hahahhaa.. I believe this ice-cream is Italian Gelato version of popsicle.. And the best part, you could write something on it!

Bold

How cool is that???
"TEY SYUK" on ice! hehhee.. :-P

and later on that "TEY-SYUK" was eaten..

Okay.. moving on to our night activity .. *ehem* get your mind out of the gutter please.. I'm talking about makan-makan activity here.. :-D We got Ed, our best buddy to take us to the best Seafood heaven in Miri.. Yeah I know it's too good to be true that I'm going to purely enjoy my trip this time, that supposedly best place was closed due to CNY.. Damn! But, no worries, we still have Luak Bay seafood restaurant to satisfy 3 big stomach that night.. hehehehehe..

This is the place like no other.. well, for me at least.. We got beach.. we got good food.. what else do you need other than this enjoyment? We ended up ordering foods that probably fit for 5 people (and there were only 3 of us).. But I gotta tell ya, they were all oh so gooodddd!

Butter prawn.. sweet and sour fresh crabs.. ikan panggang with sambal.. sayur paku masak belacan.. sambal sotong... perghhhhhhh!!! I got no regrets abandoning my diet that night..

Day 2

We off early that morning 'coz Ed will be away for his "petani moden" job.. hehehehe.. As he promised, he took us to the place where we hangout last time we were in Miri.. The best hawker food I ever tasted for MI KOLOK! Yes, it was quite cheaper, considering how good the taste was..

Mi kolok special.. I hope you drooling over this picture.. *evil grin*

After that somewhat heavy breakfast and saying goodbye to Ed, we head back to Miri Plaza to continue our Hantaran Hunt.. Since yesterday we couldn't got hold of "STAGE" make-up outlet, so we went straight to it.. Lucky me that the Beauty Advisor's friendly and was willing to help the girl who's absolutely clueless about make-up.. Actually, am a bit embarrassed coz I know next to nothing about make-up... (kindly please read my last entry about make-up.. :-D ) I was definitely thankful of her.. Of course, there was a free make-over!! Yayyy! Score A for team S.T.A.G.E! I was impressed with the base and two-way cake as it really mattify my face.. Didn't look and feel cakey at all.. And what's more important, it stayed for hours considering how oily my skin is.. (you could almost fried a fish with it.. Hah!)
We ended up with make-up base, two-way cake, 2 eye shadows, lip gloss (since I'm a sucker on lipstick), blusher, eye primer (don't know what that is until that day :-D ), concealer and I got a nail color for free!! Yayy!! One more A for team S.T.A.G.E.. The lady was kind enough to wrap the stuffs for me, and then presented a free Stage Membership.. Yet ANOTHER A Score for Team S.T.A.G.E!!! hehehe..

While waiting for the package to be be ready, we rushed for the next hunt.. Moushie's shoes.. Originally I planned to get him an Onitsuka Tiger.. But Moushie had a second thought on that.. Said it's a little too overrated for such a simple snicker.. Huhuhuu.. Turns out he had an eye on yet another Ralph Lauren collection.. Polo Sport.. I don't know.. Probably he always wanted to be the spokeperson for Ralph Lauren..? Hahahaha.. Kidding of course..

Moushie trying on shoes.. Please bear in mind that this is NOT the only shoe he's trying.. they were lots more that not been seen in this picture.. :-P

After settling on Moushie's shoes, we're off to the next one : PERFUME.. Now, since I encounter that there were not much of a choice here in Parkson, so I just ended up choosing Estee Lauder Pure White Linen in Pink Coral coz it suits my fussy nose.. :-D and by fussy I mean I can't really stand the strong and over powering smell.. I'm exceptionally love its floral and subtle note.. Definitely a winner for me.. As for Moushie.. he stayed with Ralph Lauren Romance Silver coz he's seem to be deeply attached to it.. :-D Also, I bought a set of Bioterm face care for men...

Estee Lauder White Linen Pink Coral

Ralph Lauren Romance Silver for Men

My stomach was grumbled already.. and to say nothing about my feet that's hurt like hell.. Which means time for lunch break! Since I was craving for lasagna for quite some times, we choose to have our lunch at Secret Recipe.. .. blablabla.. hahahahhaa.. obviously right now I'm lost for words.. Then, after a while we were done being hantaran scavenger.. huhuu.. consume so much of our energy.. and money... So, here are few of random shots after that hantaran hunt..

Last but not least.......

I broke my bag in the middle of shopping trip... *bummer!*

Wedding Budget *sigh*

Been missing a few blogging coz I'm a bit occupied after work.. Okay , alright.. That's a lame excuse.. :-P Actually , to be honest I'm still kinda in "shock" mode because the environment in my new work place is soooooo much different from my previous one (HINT : They're neighbours...) But, again that's a long and different story.. :-D (before I'm allowing myself to the part where I open my old and rusty story at my old work place, let's moving on shall we?)

Yesterday was a wonderful day for both me and Moushie coz we finally have the time to spend together discussing something BIG.. BIG as in wedding bell.. *wink* There are lot of things that I'm not aware of about a wedding and definitely on the budget.. The wedding can be soooooo expensive , guys.. :-( Even if you want a moderate one.. I don't know, but upon making a list yesterday I realized that my saving would not be enough to support all of the necessity.. *gasp*

But then , on that depressing note , let me break it down to you guys what are the necessities that we both discussed yesterday , along with the estimated budget..

1) Hantaran

a) Watch --> RM800.00
i love this..

b) Perfume set --> RM300.00

c) Shoes --> RM450.00 (coz he loves something casual , so Onitsuka Tiger would be great for him..)

d) Baju Melayu + Al-Quran --> RM250

e) Cupcakes --> RM50

f) Wallet + Belt set --> RM200

g) ??? (I don't know.. I leave my Mom to fill this in)

Total = RM 2050.00

2) Clothes

a) Akad Nikah

The material will be purchase by Mom.. (yayyy!) so that will leave me with Moushie's baju Melayu..

Me : Kain = Mama (RM0.00)
Tailoring = RM300 (with beading)
Tudung = RM100
Shawl = RM 50
Heels = RM100

Moushie : Kain = RM 50.00
Songkok = RM 50.00
Songket = RM100.00
Shoes = Abang's own
Tailoring = RM 100.00
Total = 850.00

b) Bersanding
Package with Ratu Collection.. Might have to ask Kak Azah though on the current price and also her availability during my BIG day.. But I believe her package would cost around RM1500.00

Total = RM 850.00 + RM 1500.00
= RM 2350.00

3) Pelamin --> RM650 (Pak Uda , our family trust in his style and he has serve us before and has proven to be the best)

4) Photographer
Okay.. This is REALLY hard.. I have a selection of talented photographer.. And yet to choose one.. My budget would be RM1000 that would cover for my entire wedding events..

** although.. a videographer also looks tempting.. I have a friend who make a heck of a video.. check him out here via facebook and show him some lurveeeeeeeee!! ;-)

5) Canopies --> I'm impressed with the Miri's coz they offer a great value - inclusive of fan , decoration and at affordable price (RM150 per canopy) However I just budgeted this one to be about RM500.00

6) Bedroom set
*sigh* it griefs me to discuss this.. Both of us have to purchase 2 bedroom sets .. So , my side would spend at about RM2000 for that.. (plus bed sheet and window treatment..)

7) Guest Gift , Invitation Card , Bunga Telur

a) Guest Gifts and Bunga Telur will solely sponsored by my sisters (thank you so much.. Love you girls so much.. hehehehe)

b) Invitation Card
We would go for a total of 1K cards so that would allows us to have much discount.. I estimated for about RM800 for a total 1K.. That's mean RM400.00 on my side

8) Hadrah

a) Hadrah - RM 200
b) Gift - RM 100
Total = RM300.00

9) Tables and chairs for guests
Hmmm.. I'm not quite sure myself.. Probably I could get RM400 for all that?

10) Wedding Cakes
Thank goodness that we have a talented baker here in Bintulu.. I have followed her in facebook and I have to say that her creations are HEAVEN! Check her here
So my budget here would be RM100.00

11) My sis , Nurul suggested that I have banners for my wedding.. We have made one for our parents' arrival from Haji so the price for each banner would be RM100.. I wanted to make 2 - RM200.00

SUB TOTAL = RM 2050 + RM 2350.00 + RM 650.00 + RM1000.00 + RM500.00 + RM2000.00 + RM 400.00 + RM300.00 + RM400.00 + RM100.00 + RM 200.00

= RM9950.00
= RM10000.00 to round it out..

So... on my side, it will take at about a total of RM10K to have a decent moderate wedding.. Pretty HUGE right? Hmmmm.. I don't know man.. My savings was only worth half of this.. :-(
